The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah

Rating: 4.9

Two sisters in WWII France.  One sister complies with the Nazi's thinking the war will be over soon. The other sister joins the Resistance.

This is about women, the role of women in the WWII, sisters, family and more.  I thoroughly enjoyed this.

  1. I am on the list at the Library but still over 150 people ahead of me. Looking forward to reading. I loved All the Light we CanNot See and I have heard from friends that this as good. How do you think they compare?

    1. I would definitely say that they are different books but they stand up well against each other. At first, I was concerned whether I would like The Nightingale. I got the audio version from the library and something about the 'french accent' put me off at first but, once I got into the characters, I really enjoyed the storyline. I think you will enjoy it.
