Bookmarks Jan/Feb 2018

For a change, I seem to be the last one to get my Bookmarks Magazine. It was worth the wait. Even though there aren't as many books as previous months, I am excited about their descriptions and can't wait to read them.

Let me know if you have read amazing books lately or, if you also get Bookmarks, let me know your picks!  Merry Christmas and I hope Santa brings you some fabulous books :-)

  2. I 'friended' you on Goodreads. We have a few if the same books on our list. There are some books I will read, and some I will listen to. One I just finished listening to is called My Absolute Darling, the narrator is Alex McKenna. Give it a try. Give it more than a few minutes, at first I thought I wouldn't be able to handle her 'gravely' voice, but after a little while I realized she was the very best choice to narrate. Let me know what you think!

    1. I have My Absolute Darling on my library hold book in the kindle format (should I switch it to audio?) Thanks for letting me know to stick with it and I look forward to sharing more reads with you!

  3. I would switch to audio. Somewhere towards the beginning, you're going to want to quit this book, don't. I wanted to, I was so disgusted, but, I didn't have anything else in the 'queue' to listen to so I plowed on and I'm glad I did. It's about more than that and you'll be missing a powerful story if you abandoned it.
Can't wait to hear what you think!
