Thanks to Guinevere Beck's incessant sharing on Facebook and Twitter, Joe Goldberg has everything he needs to know to move from stalker to boyfriend.
It is hard to believe that this is Kepnes first book. Wow. SO disturbing and creepy and yes, I am twisted enough that I thoroughly enjoyed it and couldn't put it down. Although different, I found it was reminiscent of The Kind Worth Killing which I also thoroughly enjoyed. I can't wait for the next book by Kepnes to become available at the library (I think it is a sequel to this one).
Caution: There is explicit language, sex and violence

This was a favorite from last year. So twisted! Oddly enough I found myself feeling sympathy for Joe at times, what does that say about me? It was crazy. I won a copy of Hidden Bodies from Goodreads, it was a highly anticipated read for me. I will be curious to hear your thoughts after you read Hidden Bodies.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to save Hidden Bodies for September when we go to Maui as I think it would be a good beach read. If you have any others to recommend for then, feel free to let me know. Thanks :-)
DeleteI just finished You. It kept me entertained and read it quite fast. Although I have to say, being inside Joe's head all the time, was a bit repetitive to me at times. I think it had the perfect ending though. I would be curious what this author comes up with in her next book.
ReplyDeleteI have Hidden Bodies (the next one) on my Kindle but am saving it for Maui. No idea why I think of psychological thrillers as beach reads but I do :-)
DeleteI will put Hidden Bodies on my list ... I think it would be a good one for October when we are traveling and have some long flights in our future ....thanks for your recommendations Elle!
ReplyDeleteThat's an amazing book! I've just recently finished reading it! If only I could write my dissertation about it, but unfortunately I have another topic, so have to use help for writing it from here: https://writemyessayonline.com/write-my-dissertation.html
